In individual counseling I like to meet with people weekly to establish rapport, build trust, and build a foundation to work from. In sessions, I gather history of challenges, values, strengths, and goals to work towards.
In couples and family counseling, I gather history of presenting challenges, values shared by the couple or family, identify boundaries held by both individuals, identify triggers, and build trust and rapport as emotions and experiences are communicated in a safe space that is facilitated through a compassionate, non-judgmental, and hopeful lens.
Throughout all counseling work is collaborative, a person’s language and choice of words are tracked and defined all to best support and guide individuals to work through barriers that stand in their way to live their best life.
